Remedy Eyes Platinum Trophy Status for Alan Wake 2

Remedy Entertainment's ambition: To become the European Naughty Dog. Inspired by Naughty Dog's cinematic masterpieces like the Uncharted series, Remedy Entertainment, spearheaded by Alan Wake 2 director Kyle Rowley, aims to establish itself as a leading European game developer, mirroring the success of its American counterpart.

Rowley, in a Behind The Voice podcast interview, revealed this aspiration, highlighting how Naughty Dog's influence shaped Quantum Break and significantly impacted the development of Alan Wake 2. The result is evident in Alan Wake 2's cinematic presentation, lauded for its stunning visuals and captivating narrative. The game's success has firmly cemented Remedy's position as a major player in the European gaming landscape.

Remedy's aspirations extend beyond the horror genre. Naughty Dog's mastery of single-player, cinematic experiences, exemplified by Uncharted and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us (a PlayStation cornerstone and one of gaming's most decorated franchises), serves as a clear benchmark.

Alan Wake 2, even over a year post-launch, continues to receive updates, enhancing gameplay across all platforms. A key enhancement is the addition of a "Balanced" graphics option for the PS5 Pro, cleverly blending the strengths of both its Performance and Quality modes.

These updates also include minor graphical tweaks to ensure a smoother framerate and a cleaner image, alongside addressing several minor gameplay bugs, particularly within the Lake House expansion. The ongoing support underlines Remedy's commitment to delivering a polished and refined gaming experience.
