Your primary source for Trap Tools is the Provisions Stockpiler NPC at your Base Camp. Simply chat with him, browse his inventory, and purchase Trap Tools for 200 Zenny each. Stocking up is highly recommended, especially if you're focused on farming specific monsters or aiming for a complete collection.

Unlike other resources found in the wild, Trap Tools are exclusively available for purchase at the Base Camp.

How to Use Trap Tools

With your Trap Tools acquired, it's time to deploy them. Combine them with a Net (using Spiderweb or Ivy) to create a Pitfall Trap, or pair them with a Thunderbug Capacitor for a Shock Trap.

Both trap types are effective, but remember that certain monsters are immune to specific traps. For example, a Shock Trap is useless against Rey Dau, a lightning dragon. In such cases, opt for the Pitfall Trap instead.

A crucial limitation: you can only carry one trap at a time. Strategic timing is key—use your traps when the monster is vulnerable.
