Witcher Former Devs' Upcoming Dark Fantasy Action RPG To Be Published by Bandai NamcoThe collaboration, announced earlier this week, establishes Bandai Namco as the worldwide publisher for Dawnwalker, a mature-rated, story-driven AAA action RPG launching in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox. The game is set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe. Rebel Wolves plans to unveil more information in the coming months. Founded in 2022 in Warsaw, the studio aims to redefine the RPG experience with its narrative-focused approach.

Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, commented on the partnership: "Rebel Wolves is a unique blend of experience and fresh vision. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, renowned for its commitment to RPGs and its willingness to support new IPs, is the ideal partner. We share a common vision, and their history of publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks volumes. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with them to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players worldwide."

Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco's VP of business development, added: "This marks a significant step in our Western market strategy. By leveraging our combined strengths, we will deliver this debut title to a global audience."

Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, a former CDPR writer with over nine years of experience, confirmed Dawnwalker will launch a new franchise. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, offering a non-linear narrative.

Tomaszkiewicz previously stated: "We aim to create an experience that offers diverse choices and replayability. Working with such a talented team to craft this experience is a privilege, and I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been developing."
