Mobile gaming often lacks robust mech action, a genre Mechwarrior holds dear. Surprisingly, single-player mech simulators have been scarce until now. Exoloper delivers intense, first-person mech combat, offering a much-needed Mechwarrior-like experience on mobile devices.
Developed by Anchorite Games (creators of the acclaimed Interloper), Exoloper promises a high standard. Its release on February 10th is highly anticipated.
A Worthy Successor?
Mech combat games occupy a specific niche. While Mechwarrior thrived in the late 90s and early 2000s, subsequent titles like Mechwarrior 5 and Clans have been the only significant entries. Therefore, an iOS spiritual successor is a welcome surprise. Though perhaps not as deeply simulated as Mechwarrior, Exoloper appears to offer impressive immersion.
