Hearthstone Is Dropping Its Biggest Mini-Set with Heroes of StarCraft

Hearthstone is about to unleash The Great Dark Beyond Mini-Set: Heroes of StarCraft! Iconic StarCraft factions are invading the world of Hearthstone, bringing with them a wave of quests and challenges starting January 21st.

The Biggest Mini-Set Yet!

Forget the usual 38 cards; this Mini-Set packs a whopping 49! That includes 4 Legendary cards, 1 Epic, 20 Rares, and 24 Commons, making it the largest Mini-Set Hearthstone has ever released. And it's not just about quantity; it's bursting with variety.

Each StarCraft faction contributes 5 multi-class cards, with the special neutral card, Grunty, taking center stage.

You can unlock the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set by opening The Great Dark Beyond Hearthstone packs, or grab the complete 94-card set directly. The standard Mini-Set costs 2500 Gold, while the all-Golden version is available for 12,000 Gold.

Hearthstone Highlights the Factions in Heroes of StarCraft

  • Zerg: Swarm the board and overwhelm your opponents! This faction, led by Sarah Kerrigan, features Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock cards, perfect for players who enjoy generating token armies.

  • Protoss: Unleash powerful, high-cost cards that become progressively cheaper, leading to explosive turns. High Templar Artanis leads this faction, which includes Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue allies.

  • Terran: Jim Raynor commands this faction of Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior cards, featuring Starship synergies that let you launch multiple Starships per game. The highlight? The Battlecruiser, boasting new art and the Mech minion type. Owning a Signature Starship will unlock the Signature-art version of the Battlecruiser.
